Fascism, Resistance, Freedom. Verona 1943-1945

Fascism, Resistance, Freedom. Verona 1943-1945.
For this exhibition, Culturanuova has designed and set up a digital display through which history, art, objects, and figures from the era merge to create a particularly engaging collective narrative.
The heart of the exhibition is the space that was once the Concert Hall, the site of the dramatic events of those years (National Congress of the Fascist Party and the trial of Ciano and other fascist leaders who betrayed Mussolini). Three islands aligned in the center of the room host films and original documents that guide the visitor through the history of those years. A large video projection on the back wall reimagines the Concert Hall in its original form, through the dramatic phases of the bombing and its subsequent transformations.
The exhibited works are complemented by holograms of some key figures, reflected in two large mirrors, who speak to the visitors, transporting them into the tragic reality of those years.
